Hello, I'm Anna Martynenko.
Anna Martynenko (b. 1994, Ukraine) is a fine art photographer currently based in Berlin, Germany. She holds a Master of Arts in Photography from the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design in Halle (Saale), Germany, which she completed in 2019. Anna’s recent solo exhibition, Legend's Path, was presented at Caza d'Oro in France in 2024. In 2023, she participated in several group exhibitions, including Pack and Go, a traveling exhibition funded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with shows in Rome (Centro Luigi Di Sarro), Bieno (Casa Valiga), and Tirana (MAD Center, Polis University). Other 2023 group exhibitions include Cell in SHAPE and the GHOST in the Shell at G.A.S station gallery in Berlin, The Gallery by Artichoke Trust in London, Past & Present at the 15th anniversary celebration of Der Greif at Pavillon 333 in the Pinakothek der Moderne, Germany, and the Ras Al Khaimah Fine Arts Festival in the UAE. In addition to the exhibitions, Anna has been recognized with various awards and residencies. She was the recipient of the Reclaim Award in 2022 and won the Gallery 1 Prize from Artichoke Trust. Selected residencies include the Caza d'Oro residency in France (2023), the Pack and Go residency project in Italy and Albania (2023), and the Nouveau Grand Tour residency sponsored by the Institut Français and Goethe-Institut in Italy (2022). She has received several grants in support of her work, including the EU-Japan Fest Passport Program and Culture Moves Europe (Goethe-Institut), which funded a two-month project in Greece in 2023. Other awards include support from the Schwarzkopf Stiftung and STIBET DAAD (2019), and from the European Cultural Foundation and Open Ukraine (2016).
