Experimental Photography Workshop
This workshop focuses on the art of creating authentic portraits while navigating diverse surroundings and working with unfamiliar people. Participants will collaborate with one another, exploring how to build trust, establish connection, and creatively adapt to different settings for portrait-making. Through practical exercises, participants will learn to select and utilize unique locations, integrate different objects, and experiment with light and composition to tell visual stories. The session emphasizes adaptability, encouraging attendees to embrace spontaneity. Participants will engage in guided discussions on fostering rapport with subjects, understanding their individuality, and using collaborative techniques to reflect personal and environmental narratives in their portraits. Workshop Goals: -Develop skills for building rapport and trust with subjects during photography. -Explore the impact of location and surroundings in shaping portrait narratives. -Encourage collaboration, creative problem-solving, and adaptability in diverse settings. -Celebrate human connection and the art of storytelling through portraiture. Open to photographers of all skill levels, participants are invited to bring their own cameras or smartphones. This workshop is perfect for anyone looking to refine their portrait skills while embracing collaboration and the unexpected. The workshop lasts about 1 hour. Location will be provided after the booking. Date is to be discussed individually. With over 15 years of experience in photography, I hold a Master’s degree in Photography. My work has been exhibited globally, earning international awards and grants, and I’ve participated in prestigious artist residencies. I’ve also collaborated with clients such as Monolink, Berliner Bags, and Bilderbuch.
